A monoprint is unlike any other print.
Its name means ‘one print’ and what you make can never be repeated.

A monoprint is made by pressing a piece of paper onto an inked or painted slab. The textures and shapes you can get are virtually impossible to create by painting. They will be unpredictable—sometimes a mess, sometimes a stunning success. It is a wonderful field for the imagination to roam free. Monoprints can be used as is or torn to use in collage. I do both.
